Facelift procedures at OG Aesthetics in San Jose

All facelift surgeries performed at OG Aesthetics reflect the world-class skills and artistry of our facial plastic surgeons. Every surgical plan is bespoke, crafted specifically to suit the individual, and performed with ultimate attention to detail. The types of surgical procedures that could be employed include:

  • Extended deep plane facelift: Older, traditional facelift techniques involved simply removing excess skin, pulling it tight, and suturing the skin in place. Sadly, this approach left patients with an unnatural look that was obviously the result of surgery. A deep plane facelift is an entirely different surgical approach. It works to tighten and reposition the underlying facial tissues as a single unit, rather than in parts, rewinding the clock up to ten or fifteen years. This approach treats the mid-to-lower facial area, redefines the jawline, and corrects sagging cheeks, creases, and lines, to reveal “the best you.”
  • Revision facelift: If you had a facelift in the past, and see the effects fading, or are troubled by asymmetry, visible scars, or an unnatural look, our facial plastic surgeons perform custom revision facelift surgeries to repair, revise, or enhance the results of the original procedure.
  • Mini facelift: A mini facelift may be the right approach for those in their 40s who are experiencing a lack of definition at the jawline, diminishing cheek volume, smile lines etched into the skin, or a double chin. Although shorter incisions are used, a mini facelift at OG Aesthetics in Menlo Park is performed with an equal level of attention to detail, restoring a refreshed, youthful look that lasts for years.
  • Full facelift: For those who are living with more extensive age-related skin laxity, jowls, submental fullness, an aging neck, or diminishing cheek volume, a full facelift can restore a refreshed, youthful look, revealing the natural beauty that is you, as you were in years past – not like someone else. To achieve impeccable results, our facial plastic surgeons craft custom surgical plans to address these issues without altering your features.

Your journey at OG Aesthetics: An unparalleled standard of care.

At OG Aesthetics, you will be treated like a VIP from the moment you step into our serene, supportive space. We are welcoming, good-natured, and detail-obsessed. The combination of science, care, and creativity, delivered by some of the most talented hands on the West Coast will bring out the “best you” in an empowering environment of personal care. Our facial plastic surgeons honor your originality and individuality. After a facelift, we don’t want you to look like someone else, but to be comfortable in your own skin, with the glow of inner confidence. We do not follow fads or trends but focus on achieving rejuvenating results.

We offer the most innovative, long-lasting, and natural face and neck lift approach that is currently available: the extended-release, vertical vector, deep plane face and neck lift. There are only a handful of surgeons throughout the country that offer this approach, as it requires a very high level of training. An additional benefit associated with this lift is its ability to rejuvenate the midface structures, including elevation of the cheeks and improvement in the nasolabial folds.

Real Patient

Your recovery after a facelift

If you are planning to attend a wedding, reunion, or another social event, plan your facelift at least two months beforehand. Although you will look incredible at about the four-week mark, two months allow your tissues to fully settle into place. During your recovery, take all the time you need to rest and restore. If you work, you should be able to return to your job in about ten days to two weeks, based on your body’s unique rate of healing.

In the early stages of healing, it is normal to expect some swelling and bruising. Our facial plastic surgeons will see you several times to ensure your recovery is successful. Sleep on your back and avoid any vigorous physical activities until cleared by our surgeons. Most patients can return to running, workouts, yoga, or other physical activities within four weeks.

Artistry and synergy in action

When under our care, you have the full attention of two board-certified facial plastic surgeons, each of whom has a reputation for excellence in the art of plastic surgery. Our surgeons were educated at top-tier training programs and are experienced in the latest cutting-edge surgical procedures. Beyond their impressive surgical talents, Dr. Dominick Gadaleta and Dr. Timothy Ortlip have created a Menlo Park clinic that delivers a supportive, nurturing experience, focused on achieving your personal aesthetic vision with a balance of art, creativity, science, and innovation.
